← back to portfolio | Wayfinding in a Physical Environment
I received an assignment as a part of my study of UX design at St. Lawrence College.
Primary intent of the assignment was to develop or enhance the information architecture for way finding signage in and around a physical environment. The primary goal was to create a system that facilitates efficient navigation and enhances user experience within the designated space.

Breakwater Park in Kingston
The primary aim was to address the lack of effective way finding signage in these popular recreational areas, especially for first-time visitors and those unfamiliar with the layout.
As only individual on this assignment, my responsibilities were…
Research and Analysis: Conducting on-site exploration and online research to understand the environment and user needs.
Way finding System Evaluation: Assessing the existing way finding infrastructure and identifying gaps
User Flow Mapping: Creating user personas and mapping their journeys to understand diverse needs
Methodology: Combined firsthand observational research at the site with online research, including reviewing information on the City of Kingston's website.
